1.it's been six years since we last s aw ea ch other.
【巧解句构】 it's been (it's)...since...
2.and this is the first time i've visited your hometown.
其中的this
如:this is the second time (that)he has been late, isn't it?
3.i feel very fortunate living here.
常用句型有:be fortunate(in)doing 在……方面很幸运;be for tunate to do幸运地能……;it is fortunate that...……
4.sounds ok to me.
sound vi. 类似的连系动词还有look(看上去),feel(摸起来),taste(尝起来),smell(闻起来)等。
5.you don't really see tourists where i live.
6.so they tell me.
【巧解句构】 该句中 so代指it's a gorgeous island with really interesting architecture(那是一座美丽的岛,建筑上确实很有趣)。
2)neither/ nor +
3)so it is/ was with sb.或it is/ was the same with sb.,表示“某人也是如此”,本结构适用于前一句中既有肯定又有否定时。
7.a friend's told me about a nice little fish restaurant n ear here.
【巧解句构】 a nice little fish restaura nt意为“一家很不错的小鱼餐馆”。
8.another problem is that it is becoming mor e and more diffi cult for farmers to make money from their farms.
it is difficult for sb.to do sth.
9.the countryside would be a sadder and uglier place without them.
